WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court says police investigated two suspicious packages discovered close to the court docket simply earlier than the justices had been to listen to arguments over LGBT rights.
Court spokeswoman Kathy Arberg says the packages had been discovered Tuesday close to an intersection between the court docket, the Capitol and the Library of Congress.
Police cleared the plaza and the sidewalk in entrance of the court docket, which had been filling with folks forward of the high-profile arguments.
The constructing remained open and was not evacuated, Capitol Police stated. The incident was resolved round 10 a.m., police stated.
