Giant hole in Tewksbury caused by water main break, police say

A water essential break brought about a big gap to open up in Tewksbury early Wednesday, in keeping with police.

The Tewksbury Police Department tweeted a photograph of the immense gap, captioned with the emojis “😳⛲️.”

A dispatcher informed the Boston Globe the opening was in all probability about 10 to 15 ft throughout.

The break occurred on the intersection of Newton Avenue and Main Street and affected water service to residents of Newton Avenue, police mentioned. The incident was initially tweeted about at 5 a.m.
