ORANGE, Mass. (AP) — Workers try to take away methane from a tanker truck that overturned in a crash that killed the motive force on a northern Massachusetts freeway.
Authorities say Route 2 in Orange was anticipated to stay closed in each instructions for a number of extra hours Saturday. The tanker crashed by a guardrail and rolled down an embankment Friday evening.
State police say they won’t determine the motive force till after family are notified. The reason for the wreck is beneath investigation.
Officials say it’s not clear whether or not all of the fuel might be transferred to a different truck. If it will probably’t, staff will slowly launch any remaining methane into the air.
The space close to the crash website was evacuated, however officers later decided the scene to be protected. Hazardous supplies specialists are monitoring the state of affairs.
