Six correctional officers and a nurse from Louisiana’s Angola Prison resigned after an investigation revealed they had improper relationships with inmates and helped smuggle medication, The Advocate reported on Friday.
One worker, Denise Prevot, was accused of getting intercourse with an inmate. The Advocate reported that some people had been accused of serving to smuggle illicit substances into the ability.

Department of Corrections spokesman Ken Pastorick stated that the accused people, who vary in age from 21 to 62, had resigned inside the previous week, in keeping with The Advocate. Four of the accused have already been arrested.
Pastorick didn’t instantly reply when contacted by Newsweek.
