NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (AP) — Officials say nobody was harm when a single-engine aircraft made an emergency touchdown in a cornfield in western Massachusetts.
Northampton Fire Chief Stephen Vanasse tells WWLP-TV the plane reported engine bother in midflight Sunday morning and tried to land on the runway at Northampton Airport.
The small aircraft went off the top of the runway and wound up within the adjoining cornfield.
It wasn’t instantly identified how many individuals have been aboard however all have been in a position to get off with out harm. Officials say the plane sustained minor injury.
