Sean Hannity Defends CNN’s Chris Cuomo After ‘Fredo’ Heckler Episode: ‘This Guy Is Being a Jackass in Front of His Family’

Fox News’s Sean Hannity has put community rivalry to at least one to aspect and are available to the protection of Chris Cuomo after a profanity-laced video of the CNN anchor threatening a person at a bar in New York went viral.

Hannity, a long-time critic of CNN, defended Cuomo after he was filmed threatening to beat up a person—believed to be Donald Trump supporter—after he known as him a “Fredo,” saying his fellow information host has “zero to apologize for.”

Cuomo grew to become irate on the man for referring to him to as Fredo Corleone from The Godfather, describing it as a racist slut towards Italians.

“B****** from the right call me Fredo. My name is Chris Cuomo. I’m an anchor on CNN,” he mentioned within the clip conservative media persona Brandon Straka first posted on his YouTube channel That’s the Point with Brandon.

“Fredo is from The Godfather. He was a weak brother. And they use it as an Italian aspersion,” Cuomo provides.

“Any of you Italian? It’s a f****** insult to your individuals. It’s an insult to your f****** individuals.

“It’s just like the N-word for us. Is {that a} cool f****** factor?”

Throughout the clip, the person Cuomo is arguing with repeatedly says he genuinely thought Cuomo’s actual title was Fredo.

According to Straka, the person claimed he was solely conscious of Cuomo due to The Rush Limbaugh Show, the place the right-wing host repeatedly refers to him as Fredo.

“You didn’t assume my title was f****** Fredo, do not be a liar,” Cuomo says during the clip. “You need to be a person, get up like a person… personal what you mentioned.”

Cuomo then tells the person that he is “gonna have a f****** drawback” if he continues to confront him. When the man asks what he will do, the CNN hosts replies: “I’ll f****** spoil your s***.”

“I’ll f****** throw you down these stairs like a f****** punk…you are gonna name me Fredo, take a f****** swing.”

Several individuals then step in between the pair to interrupt up the argument.

Hannity was one among a number of high-profile individuals to defend Cuomo over the clip. “I say good for @ChrisCuomo,” he tweeted. “He’s out along with his 9 12 months outdated daughter, and his spouse, and this man is being a jackass in entrance of his household.

“Imho Chris Cuomo has zero to apologize for. He deserves the apology.”

Anthony Scaramucci, the previous White House Communications Director, added: “Very proud of @ChrisCuomo this happens all the time. [Fredo slur is] quite racist.”

In a statement, CNN mentioned: “Chris Cuomo defended himself when he was verbally attacked with the use of an ethnic slur in an orchestrated setup. We completely support him.”
